Bears Track & Field, Past & Present, Honored

Track & Field News has rated the Baylor recruiting class for the current freshmen as the second best in the country. The ratings are in the December issue of the magazine, which also features a full-page story on the four main recruits. A summary is found here: LINK HERE The full story is only available in the magazine itself.

Next year's class may be even better: LINK HERE

Congratulations to Head Coach Todd Harbour on continuing the culture of excellence. Coach Harbour was quick to give praise to the associate and assistant coaches who were instrumental in the signings: Michael Ford, Jon Capron, Danny Brabham and Stacey Smith.

The prior coach, and current Director of Track & Field at Baylor, is the legendary Clyde Hart. Coach Hart was named the 2006 Nike Track & Field Coach of the Year, and Jeremy Wariner, a former Baylor athlete was named by USATF (USA Track & Field, the national governing body) the co-recipient of the Jesse Owens Award as the top Track & Field athlete in the United States for 2006. Coach Hart still coaches Jeremy here in Waco, and he also coaches Sanya Richards, who was the other co-recipient. The story may be found here: LINK HERE
