Virginia Tech

The following was issued by President Lilley today in light of the tragedy at Virginia Tech. How good it is that we have a God we can go to at a time like this. Please pray that God would use this great evil for much good (see, generally, Genesis 50:20), and that many who today have no meaning in life would seek and find Christ as a result of these terrible and sad events.

April 17, 2007

Message from Baylor President John M. Lilley:

To the Baylor University family:

At 1 p.m. (CT) this afternoon in Blacksburg, Virginia Tech will hold a university convocation. At that same time here at Baylor, University bells will ring for five minutes in honor of those killed and injured yesterday on the campus of Virginia Tech. At the sound of the bells, we invite students, faculty and staff to remember in prayer and reflection the many individuals and families who have been touched by this terrible tragedy.

John M. Lilley
President
